Stephen George steps down as Hawks coach

In what Stephen himself declared was one of the toughest decisions he has ever had to make, he decided to step away from the Coaching ranks of the Charleswood Hawks.  Stephen had given 12 years of his life to the Red, Black and White.  Two as a player, 4 as an assistant coach and the last six as the Coach.  Stephen had come to the fork in the road where a decision had to be made whether to continue with the Hawks or spend more quality time with his young family.
Stephen leaves with no regrets. In his 12 seasons with the Hawks, he was a member of 6 MMJHL Championship Charleswood Hawk teams.  He was very dedicated to the organization and extremely passionate about his work and the game.  He was a student of the game, always experimenting with ways to improve his team.  Stephen understood the game well.
The Hawks want to thank Stephen for his 12 years and wish him all the very best in his future endeavours which we are positive will not take him too far from the rink.
