Although the Hawks won the game, the big winner was the Braden Pettinger “Go Fund Me” fund!  Between the generous fans with the 50/50 draw and the Hawks matching the 50/50 amount, $750 will be donated towards the fund set up to help out one of Manitoba’s young players.  In an unfortunate hockey accident  Braden suffered a spinal injury while playing for the Portage Terriers of the MJHL.  The Hawks wish the best of recovery for Braden.

Now on to less important things; Friday nights game between the Charleswood Hawks and Pembina Valley Twisters.

After going down by one in the first period, the Hawks Power Play clicked scoring 3 PP goals on the night with the eventual outcome being Hawks 6, Twisters 3.

Hawks goal getters were James Bergal, Riley Gilmore, Cory Yeroschak, Shawn Pachet, Cole Benediktson, and Beau Zelenewich.  Ben Thorlakson got the “W” turning away 34 of 37 shots.

Next game is Sunday Nov 22, as the Hawks travel to the St. James Civic Center to take on the St. James Canucks. Game time is 7:30!  The winner takes 3rd place in the standings, so you know both teams will be up for the game!
