Game one of the playoffs for your Charleswood Hawks started with some very exciting hockey.

Your Hawks would open up the scoring at the halfway point of the 1st with a shot from Max Gardiner with the assist from Kyle Nanton! The Twisters would get on the board themselves, ending the first frame at one a piece.

Pembina would take a 2-1 lead in the 2nd, but your Hawks wouldn’t let off the pressure as Mitch Justl would tuck his first of the playoffs into the Twisters net. The assist went to Matt Lawrence.

The 3rd period saw a lot of back and forth hockey, however both goaltenders stood tall to turn away every shot they faced so extra time would be needed to decide a winner of this one.

The first overtime period would showcase the talent between the 2 clubs, but with no scoring, we would need another OT period to solve this game. In double Overtime is when Pembina would score to end game one in a 3-2 final.
