Sunday night was the final game of the regular season for your Charleswood Hawks as they hosted the Twins one final time this season. The previous match ups between these 2 teams have been tight games with very few goals scored and this one would be no different.
The Twins would take an early lead in the game as they would score half way through the first period, but Ryan Hall stood tall between the pipes, turning away shot after shot all game.
While there was no scoring in the 2nd frame, the Charleswood Hawks would apply some great pressure, out shooting the Twins 14-11 in the period.
It would come right down to the wire in the 3rd period as the Twins were holding on to their 1-0 lead throughout most of the game. However, with just 58 seconds left, Nolan Sekundiak would find the back of the Twins net to tie it up! Austin Hesselbart and Matt Lawrence would assist on the goal. Extra time would be needed to resolve this one, however the Twins would get the win for this one early into the 1st period.
While it wasn’t the result the Hawks were hoping for, it was another great game and an exciting one to end the regular season schedule with a final record of 18-20-7. Be sure to check back regularly as more information about the first round will be coming soon!
