All Twisted Up

Wednesday night your Charleswood Hawks took to the road to take on what would be the last regular season game between the Hawks and the Twisters.

It wasn’t long before the Twisters found the back of the Hawks net, early in the first and they would add another to go up 2-0 after the first period. While the second period was a more evenly matched 20 minutes of hockey, the Twisters would find another 2 goals to go up 4-0 after 40 minutes of play.

Down but not out, your Hawks would claw their way back in the 3rd as your captain, Spencer Ferbers, would find twine at 2:16 of the 3rd, with the assists from Quinn Werbowski and Matt Lawrence. At 14:18 of period, Nolan Sekundiak would get his first of the season! The assists would go to Matt Lawrence and Joben Smith. Austin Hesselbart would also get an unassisted marker late in the 3rd, however the ever hopeful 3rd period comeback was just not meant to be as Pembina would add another 2 goals in the period for a final score of 6-3.

Final shots on goal were 39-33 in favor of Pembina. Your Hawks now sit with a 18-20-6 record on the season and will play their final regular season game this coming Sunday March 10th as they host the Fort Garry Twins. We hope to end the regular season on win, so please be sure to join us at the Eric Coy arena to cheer on your Charleswood Hawks, Puck drops at 7:30. We hope to see you there.
