Hawks Presidents Club 2019

Friday night we were honoured to induct another 2 deserving alumni into the Wayne Deschouwer Presidents Club. Both players were the heart and soul of the Charleswood Hawks and have left skates impossible to fill.

Our first inductee was Reg Bowles. Reg was a player that improved his value on the ice and as a leader as his career evolved. He was a big part of the Hawks success and was one of those guys who could bring out the best in his teammates with his work ethic and competitive spirit. He was a guy you loved to have on your team, and wasn’t exactly a fan favorite of opposing teams. He finished his Hawks career with 110 regular season games, totaling 71 points. Congratulations Reg!

Our 2nd inductee was Trevor Syzda. Trevor was a very offensively gifted defenceman, who used his smooth skating and patience with the puck to make highly skilled plays consistently throughout his career. He was an important leader for the Hawks and represented the organization with class, on and off the ice. Trevor played a total of 86 regular season games, totailing 52 points. He was the Hawks leading scoring defenceman as a 21 year old. Congratulations Trevor.

Handing out graduating player plaques to Trevor and Reg was Reg George, VP of the Charleswood Hawks. Congratulations again to both Reg and Trevor.
