2 in a row!!

Your Charleswood Hawks were on the road last night to take on the Twins. We were looking to go back to back wins with this game, while the Twins were hoping to continue their win streak.

While the first period saw no goals, there were plenty of chances for your Hawks as we kept the Twins in their own end for a good part of the period.

At the 10;18 mark of the 2nd, your captain, Spencer Ferbers found the back of the net for his 2nd of the season. Tanner Mulligan and Austin Hesselbart received the assists on the goals, making it Tanner’s very first point as a Hawk! Congratulations are in order. Quinn Werbowski would also get onto the score sheet with just under 2 minutes left in the 2nd, as he netted his 4th of the year with assists from Austin Hesselbart and Max Gardiner

The 3rd period saw the Twins get one back with just under 3 minutes left to play, but we fought hard and kept it that way for a final score of 2-1, giving us a 6-8-3 record on the season so far.

There were plenty of pucks flying at the goaltenders last night as the shots were 37-39 for the Twins. Ryan Hall was once again outstanding for us in net.

Now we head back home for a big game this coming Friday as we host the Riels for the second time this season. The series is tied up at one a piece, so come on down to cheer on your Charleswood Hawks as we look to go one up in the series. Puck drop is at 7:30 at Eric Coy. We hope to see you there – it’ll be a dandy!!
