Friday Night Hockey

Friday night your Charleswood Hawks took on the Twins for the first time this season as we looked to get back in the win column.

First goal of the game went to the Twins at 14:54, putting the Hawks down 1-0 after the first period of play. The Twins capitalized on a penalty in the second making it 2-0 for the Twins.  Max Gardiner would score at 12:10 of the second with assists from Nate Roffey and Kyle Nanton but the Twins scored again just over 2 minutes later putting them up 3-1 after 2 periods of play. That turned out to be the final score as there was no scoring in the 3rd. Patrick Wiens was on duty for your Hawks in net last night, stopping an incredible 47 shots!

Friday night was also our annual Digger Appreciation Night to reward all those young stars that gave it their all in this years RobWest Tournament. We would like to thank all the players and their families for coming out and enjoying some good food and fun with us. We can’t wait for next year!
