Hawks Knock Off Jets 2-1 for 11th Straight Win

Your Charleswood Hawks held on for a tight 2-1 victory on Sunday night over the Stonewall Jets for their 11th straight win. Noah Robidoux opened the scoring for the red and black with a beauty of a tip in on a Reg Bowles shot from the point at 12:45 of the first.  The Jets brought all their guns to the fight in the first out shooting the Hawks by a margin of 14 to 10, but as he usually does – Ryan Hall stood tall to shut the door on them. After a long possession in the Hawks zone, Chase Faulkner broke through for the Jets putting away a rebound that would be his league leading 44th point of the campaign. The boys in red didn’t let it get them down as the fought hard in the second and it paid off in spades as Shea Gorenstein ripped one past Hunter Ploszay midway through the second (check it out below!). The Jets sustained furious pressure in the Hawks zone for the final minutes of the game, but were unable to get the equalizer giving the good guys the win.
