It was everything it was slated to be on Wednesday night as the Hawks took their 10th straight with a 3-2 shootout win over the Raiders Junior Hockey Club. The Raiders jumped ahead early into this one, in fact it was just 3 seconds into the first with a marker by Cody Merritt. Lesser teams would have crumbled, but your Hawks did not let this derail them and managed to tie it up midway through the first with a goal by J.P. Lovell.  A little over 3 minutes later Taylor Opperman added another one from Riley Gilmore and Trevor Szyda. The Raiders Kruz Listmayer then managed to tie it up 3:06 into the second. And from there Ben Thorlakson was unbeatable for the Hawks the rest of the  way turning everything left, right, and centre away – he showed why he is one of the top goalies in the league as he turned away 42 shots on the evening including another 3 in the shootout. This one went the distance all the way to a shootout that saw Noah Robidoux the only scorer as he beat Kyle McHolm glove side with a nice shot for the win!
