Your Charleswood Hawks look to continue their push for first place in the MMJHL with a set of games on Friday and Monday night this week. First on Friday they look to continue their dominance of the Fort Rouge/Fort Garry Twins this season with a 7:30pm start at the Coy. Last time these familiar foes faced the Hawks shutout the Twins 5-0 over at the Century Arena. Don’t let their record fool you folks, the 8th place Twins managed to knock off the Raiders last Friday and gave the Railers a run for their money on Sunday on the back of rookie goaltender Luke Zacharias.

On Monday, take our advice and skip the Patriots/Dolphins game…it is going to be a snoozer! Instead hop in the car and make the drive to St.Boniface to watch the Hawks take on the Riels at 7:30pm over at the Notre Dame Arena. Last time these two tangled on a Monday night the Hawks pulled it off in overtime with a 3-2 win. The Riels are strongly looking to get back in the win column, so expect a good battle between these two.
