Hawks Thump Royal Knights 9-1

The offensive guns finally came out on Friday night as the Hawks poured in a season high for goals in a game as they took the Royal Knights to the cleaners by a margin of 9-1. Quinn Werbowski opened the scoring 8 minutes into the first and the boys never looked back while firing an unreal 65 shots towards the beleaguered Royal Knights goaltenders. The offense came from every direction with 8 different Hawks winding up on the score sheet with Shane Kustra-Nelson leading the way as usual with a pair of goals and assists. The powerplay finally got back in business going 3 for 5 on the night with markers by J.P. Lovell, Noah Robidoux, and Sean Robinson. With the win the Hawks move to just 6 points back of the Raiders (who lost at home to the Twins on Friday) with a game in hand.  The red and black look to make it four straight when they are back in action at the Coy on Sunday at 7:30pm against the third place Stonewall Jets.
