Hawks face Knights & Jets this Weekend

Your Charleswood Hawks are back in action this weekend with the customary Friday night/Sunday night arrangement. On Friday the Hawks travel to the NE corner of the city to face the struggling River East Royal Knights looking to extend their win streak to 3 games. The Red and Black haven’t lost this year to the Knights with 1-0 and 2-0 wins over them in their two October meetings. Not to be taken likely the Knights are coming off an overtime win on Tuesday in Morris over the Twisters and look to start turning their season around.

Sunday sees the Jets visit the comfortable confines of Eric Coy as two of the top teams in the league go to battle. Earlier this season the Hawks dropped a close overtime affair 3-2 in which Chase Faulkner broke the hearts of the home faithful just 1:06 into the extra period; however, the Hawks got their revenge on November 3rd on the strength of a Ryan Hall shutout to knock off the Jets 3-0. There is definitely no love lost between these in what should be a dandy of a game. The puck drops at 7:30pm both nights and with the days getting shorter for a few more weeks why not spend them watching some exciting MMJHL hockey!
