The home team got things started early in the first (53 seconds to be exact) with a Sean Robinson tip in from a point shot by Trevor Szyda.  Losers of 9 straight now, the Riels came to play in this one as they fired 14 shots off in the first and had the Hawks locked in their own zone for a large part of the period.
