The Charleswood Hawks dropped a second straight game tonight in overtime by a score of 3-2  at the Coy. Despite solid goaltending by #31 Ryan Hall who stopped a total of 37 shots, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Jets on Friday night.  Hall, who single-handedly kept the Hawks in the game during the second period by an eye popping 18 saves with many of those being highlight reel quality.  The Hawks led after 2 periods thanks to a nifty tip-in by #12 Reg Bowles in the first.  They then traded goals with Jets in the third with Shane Kustra-Nelson getting the other marker for the Hawks before Chase Faulkner of the Jets tied things up with just over 13 minutes to go in the third.  In overtime the Hawks ended up a man down after a 2 minute minor high sticking penalty that set the table for Faulkner of the Jets to notch his second of the game on the powerplay just 1:06 into the extra frame.  Three Stars of the game were 1 – #29 Chase Faulker, 2 – #31 Ryan Hall, and 3 – #35 Hunter Ploszay.

The 2-0-2 Hawks are back on the ice on Sunday at 3:30pm when they face the River East Royal Knights at Terry Sawchuk Arena.  Be sure to make the trip to River East to cheer on your Hawks!
